How to tell the firmware version of your slim 360 |

We have a new article up in the tutorials section of how to tell what the firmware version of your slim DVD drive is: that info is here:

this info is important because if you have 9405 drive then its easy to modify if you know someone who can do it ;-) The 0225 model is trickier to modify and will need special hardware like a new IC chip to solder onto the board or a whole new control board, again you will have to know someone with skills to do this. The chips and control boards are not on the market yet, but will be by july 2011 we expect, and after that then the cheaper clone version will be available. I have aslo put a link to the DVD drive database to further help you identify which version of firmware or drive you may have inside your slim 360, that link will be found in the links section, ENJOY!
In the meantime lots of our close friends are playing their legal backups online with the new LT 1.9 and LOVIN it. :-)
