Exciting news from C4Eva!
He has released the newest Light Touch Plus 1.1 for the Hitachi Drives!
This now bring us to this current state of xbox drive flash mods:
Liteon Slim Drive (all slim 360 models) - Light Touch in Progress - SOON!! as in ANY day now! We will post the SECOND the new slim type 360's are flash modable
Liteon Drive (7x - 9x) - Light Touch Plus 1.1 - Live Safe Plays ap25 - Excellent
BenQ Drives (all) - Light Touch Plus 1.1 - Live Safe Plays ap25 - Excellent

If booting an AP25 title without AP25 SS game will not boot but will still be protected from logging AP25 violation on current dash 2.0.12611.0

AP25 SS are region specific for region locked games (Current Example NFS: Hot Pursuit is both PAL and NTSC - 2 different AP25 Patches)
If you boot the AP25 titles without LT+ you will probably be flagged for a ban.
You cannot spoof a different model drive as that can now be detected. With this release of LT+ you HAVE to have an original Benq or Liteon.
LT+ for slim 9504 is next followed by LT+ for slim 0225

360 Dashboard fall update 2010 |

People with modded consoles we recommend that you do NOT take the update or play on LIVE until more info comes down the pipe as we want to see everyone practice Safe Backup Gaming. If you HAVE to play online then we suggest you get a second console for online play, or if you want to be a guinea pig let us know how it goes!

The date is now official! The new Kinect/Fall2010 Update is coming tomorrow (Monday Nov 1st). Microsoft announced this via e-mail [xbox.com]:

X-S Note: With the confirmation from C4E that the latest beta fall2010 dashboard has new AP2.5 checks and SSv3 with new games, we 'suggest' anyone with a modified FW stay away from the update and these new games (Fable3, ...) for now if you don't want to be part of the 'MS November 2010 BanHammer' ;)
JTAG 360s (do I need to remind this?) should of course also not update, it will break the JTAG/SMC hack forever. You will have to wait for a new rebooter (freeBOOT/XBReboot).
